Westfall Orthodontics is proud to welcome Dr. Ian Weaver, a compassionate and skilled orthodontist dedicated to creating healthy, confident smiles. Serving the communities of Abingdon, Bristol, and Richlands, Dr. Weaver brings a unique blend of scientific expertise, artistic insight, and genuine care to every patient he treats.
Dr. Weaver’s journey into orthodontics began with a strong academic foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Traditional Art from the University of Charleston (2012–2016). This rare combination of science and art continues to shape his approach, allowing him to balance precision and function with aesthetics and design. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2020, followed by a Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2023—both from West Virginia University. This extensive training equips him to provide exceptional care for patients of all ages.
For Dr. Weaver, orthodontics is about more than straightening teeth—it’s about improving lives. He takes pride in enhancing both comfort and functionality while giving patients the confidence to smile freely. He is especially excited to collaborate with Dr. Westfall and the team at Westfall Orthodontics, continuing the practice’s mission of delivering advanced, patient-centered care.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Weaver is a talented artist with a passion for digital illustration. In 2017, he painted a mural that still brightens the wall of West Virginia University’s Health Science Center. He also enjoys collecting and reading comic books, exploring tabletop games, and engaging in creative projects that showcase his vibrant personality.
Dr. Weaver is equally passionate about community service. From volunteering at free children’s events in Charleston to creating traditions like “Crustmas” during dental school—where he made sandwiches for classmates to build camaraderie—he has always found ways to connect with people and give back.
With his blend of artistry, education, and genuine care for others, Dr. Weaver is committed to making orthodontic treatment a positive and rewarding experience. Patients at Westfall Orthodontics can look forward to personalized care from an orthodontist who values both the science and art of a beautiful smile.
