iTero Digital Scanner
If you’ve ever had a traditional dental impression, you probably remember the trays of thick, goopy material, the awkward wait while it set, and the not-so-pleasant taste. The iTero Digital Scanner eliminates all of that. Instead of physical molds, we use a small handheld wand to take thousands of digital images of your teeth in just minutes. These images are stitched together to create a highly accurate 3D model of your smile.
This means:
- Comfort – No gagging, no mess, and no discomfort.
- Speed – We can scan your teeth and show you the results immediately.
- Precision – Digital models are incredibly detailed, allowing for perfectly fitting Invisalign aligners and orthodontic appliances.
The iTero scanner also lets us create a “before and after” simulation right in the office. You’ll be able to see a preview of how your smile could look at the end of treatment before you even begin, giving you confidence in the process and excitement for the results.
DentalMonitoring
We know life doesn’t slow down just because you’re in orthodontic treatment. That’s why we use DentalMonitoring, a cutting-edge app that allows you to complete many of your check-ins from home instead of coming into the office every few weeks.
Here’s how it works: Using your smartphone, you take a quick series of photos of your teeth following simple instructions from the app. These images are securely sent to our team, where Dr. Westfall reviews them to ensure your treatment is progressing exactly as planned. If any adjustments are needed, we can catch them early—before they cause delays.
This means fewer trips to the office, which is especially helpful for busy parents, working professionals, and patients who live farther from one of our locations. It also keeps you connected to our team in real time, so you can feel confident that your treatment is always on track. DentalMonitoring is especially beneficial for Invisalign patients, as we can track aligner fit and tooth movement without interrupting your schedule.
It’s orthodontic care that works around your life—not the other way around.
3D Printing
In the past, orthodontic appliances like retainers and aligners had to be shipped out to an off-site lab, often taking weeks before they were ready. At Westfall Orthodontics, we bring that process in-house with advanced 3D printing technology. This means we can design, print, and deliver custom orthodontic appliances—often in just a few days.
3D printing allows us to produce appliances with incredible precision, tailored exactly to your unique smile. If you lose or break a retainer, we can create a replacement quickly, minimizing any disruption to your treatment. The same goes for aligners, models, and other orthodontic tools.
Because 3D printing integrates seamlessly with our iTero digital scans, your appliance design is based on the most accurate data available. This combination ensures a perfect fit, improved comfort, and more predictable results.
Beyond speed and accuracy, 3D printing also means fewer appointments and shorter wait times. It’s just another way we make your orthodontic experience more efficient, so you can spend less time in our office and more time enjoying your life and your smile.
In-House Lab
Having an in-house lab is like having a personal workshop dedicated entirely to your smile. At Westfall Orthodontics, our lab allows us to design and fabricate appliances, retainers, and other custom orthodontic tools right here on-site. This eliminates the need to ship cases back and forth to outside labs, saving you both time and potential delays.
Our in-house team works closely with Dr. Westfall to ensure every appliance meets our exact standards for fit, function, and durability. Because we oversee the entire process—from design to fabrication—we can make adjustments immediately, ensuring you get the best possible results without waiting weeks for modifications.
This also means that if you need a quick repair or replacement, we can often handle it the same day, reducing the risk of treatment setbacks. The precision, quality control, and efficiency of our in-house lab help us maintain the high level of care our patients have come to expect.
Simply put, keeping production in-house means your treatment is faster, more personalized, and more reliable from start to finish.
