Your First Visit

Your First Visit

The Start Is the Most Important Part

The first visit to a doctor’s office can sometimes seem intimidating, especially for kids. But your first visit to Westfall Orthodontics will be completely painless.

Our team will welcome you, introduce you to board-certified orthodontist Dr. Westfall, and show you around our office. Our expert orthodontic treatment coordinator will take digital photographs of your teeth. These images are the best way for Dr. Westfall to diagnose your teeth, jaws, and facial soft tissue.

After reviewing your records, Dr. Westfall will join you in a private consultation room to discuss your individualized and unique treatment plan. Dr. Westfall will point out specific areas of concern and show you what kind of corrections you can expect by showing photos and videos of similar cases. He will take as much time as you need to answer your questions and decide what kind of treatment is best for you. Dr. Westfall and his assistant will then walk you through the process. They’ll explain everything, from scheduling to expected discomfort levels, to finances and payment options.

Start Your Braces the Same Day

The orthodontic treatment process involves a series of orthodontic visits. We value the relationship that we will build with you and your family throughout that process and want you to be confident that you are receiving the best orthodontic care possible.

Once you feel like we’ve answered all of your questions and concerns, you can start your treatment that same day. We value your time, and we know you want to make the most of your visit.

Financial Info

We believe budget anxiety shouldn’t stand between you and your new smile. At Westfall Orthodontics, we aim to give your family incredible value for an affordable price.

Clear & Transparent Costs

Orthodontics is an investment, and we base your cost on how long your treatment will take, how complex your issues are, and the type of braces or appliances you need. In other words, it’s impossible to give you a treatment cost without seeing you first, but you’ll get a clear picture of all the costs before we ever begin treatment.

After Dr. Westfall takes a look at your case during your free consultation, our team can come up with a clear price arrangement that fits your family’s budget. We like transparency and think you do, too, so you won’t ever get charged any hidden fees.

Affordable Payment Options

We’ll thoroughly explain your choices and do everything we can to accommodate your budget.

  • No-Interest Financing: We can customize a payment plan that can work for your family’s budget!
  • Cash or Check Payment Options: Extend your monthly payment schedule and reduce your down payment.
  • Auto-Pay: Make your busy schedule easy by setting up automatic bank drafts and credit card payments.
  • Credit Cards: We accept all major credit cards.
  • Discount: Pay in full at the beginning of treatment and save big!

Insurance

Orthodontic insurance coverage will help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. Most dental insurance policies cover 80% – 100% of dental work during a year, but orthodontic insurance works a little differently. Most people’s orthodontic policies cover 50% of the cost up to a lifetime maximum set by the insurance company.

Before your free consultation, we’ll try to determine the estimated extent of your coverage. Please make sure you include any relevant information when you fill out your new patient forms, such as the insured ID number or social security number of the policyholder and group number.

Insurances We Accept

We’ll verify your orthodontic insurance before beginning your new smile journey. You’ll see this during our financial presentation to you, so you’ll be able to see how it affects your overall investment. We’ll assign insurance benefits and handle all the necessary steps to make sure you receive the maximum possible. We’re proud to help you out this way with your insurance.

7&Up Kids Club

Did you know that the American Association of Orthodontics recommends an orthodontist like Dr. Westfall should see every seven-year-old? We know seven years seems a little young for orthodontic treatment, and most of the time, you would be correct! But by being seen at this age, Dr. Westfall can evaluate and identify growth issues to prevent further orthodontic issues from developing.

And, of course, like anything we do at Westfall Orthodontics, we have a little fun along the way! That’s why we’ve created the 7&Up Kids Club. Your child instantly becomes a VIP member and gets to collect special pins to adorn their very own Westfall lanyard! For more information on our Kids Club, read about it here on our blog!
